HOW TO PREPARE FOR A MEDIUMSHIP READING

Prior to your reading, we will discuss what type of reading you are interested in, the intent of the reading, how you can prepare for the reading, the amount of time you would like for the reading, etc.

If you would like, I can email you hardcopies of information as well, so that you can review them at your discretion and leisure prior to the reading.

It is normal to be a little nervous before a reading.  But be assured that there is absolutely no reason to be worried.  There is a reason that you feel drawn to have a reading, so know that you are exactly where you are supposed to be! 

It is imperative that you come to your reading with any open heart, an open mind and no set expectations!  Spirit will determine what information and messages they chose to share at the reading, but know that you will get the messages that you are intended to get.  There are several things however, that you can do to prepare for a reading: 

*  Prior to your reading, think of those you would like to hear from and mentally or verbally ask them to come through.  Invite them to your reading!  Make a list of loved ones who have passed, along with significant dates for each (birthdays, anniversaries, dates of passing, etc).

*  During the reading, and as information is presented, simply answer "Yes, I can understand that", 
"No, I can't understand that" or "I'm not sure".  The dialogue between you and the medium will be quite informal during the reading.  But to protect the integrity of the reading, do not feed information to the medium, or "tell your story".  However, after the reading, there will be time to discuss elements of the reading and to talk casually about it.

*  Know that there will be information that will come through, that you will not understand or cannot identify at the time of the reading.  This is normal and do not be discouraged.  But do not disregard this information!  Simply, note the information and refer to it following the reading, especially if it is a information that the medium received repeatedly during the reading.  You may find that you can connect the information once you have had time to let things settle.  Remember that those in Spirit "never waste a message"!

*  When you get information during the reading that you cannot understand, just simply say "I don't know" or "I don't understand that" rather than saying "No, that's not right!"  Harsh response can often shut down spirit communication, so always reply in a gracious manner, as you would in replying to a guest in your home.

*  Know that sometimes those you least expect will come through in a reading.  So sometimes you must think broadly during the reading to identify the communication.  Those that come through do not have to be people with whom you had a close emotional relationship with.  But know that there is a reason they are choosing to come through to you!

*  Trust in knowing that there is a reason that you are having a reading; that you have been guided to a reading.  Know that you are exactly where you are supposed to be!
